The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan received six new vehicles and more than 200 pieces of medical equipment. Press service of the ministry reported.
The Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance in Transport received the medical equipment, vehicles, office equipment and uniforms as part of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) project «Strengthening healthcare and border control in Kyrgyzstan in response to COVID-19 and other infectious diseases» funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
«The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that there is a need to improve the work of sanitary and quarantine points. During the period of increased mobility of people, the technical equipping of the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance in Transport will contribute to a timely response and containment of dangerous infections,» said Zeynal Hajiyev, head of the IOM mission in the Kyrgyz Republic.
