The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) detected a stable channel for the transportation of counterfeit foreign currency banknotes in an especially large amount. Press center of the state committee reported.
Two foreign citizens who arrived from Turkey were reportedly detained while trying to cross Osh-Airport checkpoint. They had fake $20,000, which were found during a search.
SCNS initiated a criminal case on the fact under Article 233 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic («Falsification of money and securities»), within which investigative and operational measures are being taken to identify other persons involved in the case.
