Uzbekistan was recognized as the most welcoming republic among the countries of Central Asia. The Canadian company Arton Capital published a ranking of the most hospitable countries in the world — Welcoming Countries Rank 2023.
The place of a country in the ranking depends on the number of foreign citizens that can enter the country without a visa (or by receiving a visa upon arrival or by obtaining an electronic visa).
Uzbekistan, taking 25th place in the ranking, became the most welcoming country among the countries of Central Asia. Citizens of 139 countries can visit the country in visa-free regime.
Kyrgyzstan takes the 53rd line in the ranking (80 countries). Tajikistan is on the 49th place (the country is open for visa-free visits to citizens of 87 countries), Kazakhstan takes the 54th place (77 countries).
Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and North Korea took the last places in the ranking — there is no visa-free entry in these counties.
At least 22 countries take the top places in the ranking, most of which are located on the African continent (Nigeria, Ethiopia, Gabon, Rwanda, Djibouti and others). The Maldives, Cambodia and the Comoro Islands also took the first line. Citizens of 198 countries can visit each of these countries without a visa.
