It is planned to cover foreigners, who come to Kyrgyzstan to study, for tourism purposes, to visit someone or for other issues, with medical insurance. The issue was discussed at a joint meeting with representatives of the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, the Secretariat of the Security Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Development, the State Tax Service, the State Border Service. The First Deputy Chairwoman of the CMIF Klara Oskombaeva noted that compulsory medical insurance is especially important for tourists, in particular climbers who get in emergency situations, when the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other departments are involved in providing assistance.
Regarding the coverage of uninsured citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic with compulsory medical insurance, employees of the Ministry of Digital Development proposed to introduce into the normative legal acts, in particular the Administrative Code, and the rules for registration of citizens, the conditions for the mandatory presence of compulsory medical insurance certificate for all Kyrgyzstanis.
«Given the complexity of the issue, the meeting participants decided to create an interdepartmental working group, which should quickly consider all possible aspects of health insurance coverage for citizens of our country,» the CMIF added.
