The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has projects worth $93 million in Kyrgyzstan for 2023. Ruslan Dalenov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the bank, announced today at a press conference.
According to him, the volume of EDB investments in Kyrgyzstan in 2022 is estimated at $16 million. As of today, contracts worth $8 million have already been signed. An agreement for the same amount will be signed before the end of the year.
«As part of the country strategy in Kyrgyzstan, it is planned to implement projects totaling $161 million within five years with the financial support of the bank,» Ruslan Dalenov said.
In turn, EDB Chairman of the Board Nikolai Podguzov noted that the total pool of the bank’s projects in Kyrgyzstan is $500 million.
«We plan to invest in the project for the construction of Kulunakskaya HPP and the process of updating the project of Kambarata HPP-1. We have formed a fairly good foundation in Kyrgyzstan. I think 2023 will be a breakthrough year in this country,» Nikolai Podguzov concluded.
