Economic growth in Kyrgyzstan registered at level of 7 percent in 2022

Economic growth in Kyrgyzstan has been registered at the level of 7 percent since the beginning of 2022. The National Statistical Committee provided such data.

According to it, in January — October, the growth of the country’s gross domestic product was at the level of 7 percent. The nominal volume of GDP amounted to about 688 billion soms.

The volume of industrial production in January — October of this year increased by 14.3 percent compared to the same period in 2021. In particular, the volume of industry increased due to the growth in the output of basic metals by 32.1 percent, wood and paper products — by 30.7 percent, oil products — by 12.8 percent, food products and tobacco products — by 11.9 percent, textile production, clothing and footwear, leather and leather products — by 5.5 percent, mining — by 6.1 percent.

A positive trend was observed in construction, the increase in the industry amounted to 5 percent, agriculture — 6.7 percent, wholesale and retail trade — 7.3 percent.

In January — October, an increase in consumer prices and tariffs was also registered. In general, it reached 12.1 percent in the republic.
