A roadmap for development of cooperation between St. Petersburg and Bishkek has been worked out. Sergei Markov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg city, announced at a briefing on Friday.
According to him, a meeting with the vice mayor of the capital of Kyrgyzstan is scheduled for today. A road map signed by the authorities of St. Petersburg will be presented to him. It contains clauses that oblige the executive bodies of the cities to promote the development of relations in various fields in every possible way.
«St. Petersburg is ready to assist the authorities of Bishkek, train them in new technologies, waste management methods, and traffic management. Our city is considered one of the world leaders in the use of modern information systems. The Smart City system is fully operational on our streets, ensuring the safety of traffic and residents. We are ready to share ready-made design solutions absolutely free of charge and assist in the development of urban plans,» Sergei Markov noted.
Bishkek will host complex events «St. Petersburg Meetings in Kyrgyzstan» from November 4 to November 9. The ceremony of handing over the roadmap for trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural interaction between the government of St. Petersburg and the Bishkek City Hall, discussion of cooperation in the field of education, meetings of cultural figures and much more are planned.
