Electric Stations OJSC and Karazhyra JSC signed an agreement on October 25, 2022 for the supply of D coal from Karazhyra open pit. Press service of the company confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
It is noted that Karazhyra JSC will supply at least 400,000 tons of coal for the production needs of the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant at a price of $53.45 per ton. At the same time, a condition was established that the fuel will be delivered to Alamedin station according to the approved schedule.
«Earlier, the issue of concluding an agreement with KarTransUgol LLP for the supply of 400,000 tons at $53.5 per ton was worked out. But due to the protocol of disagreements and a more favorable price on the part of Karazhyra JSC, this agreement was not concluded,» the company said.
A contract for the supply of coal for the capital’s HPP in the amount of 643,000 tons was signed last year with Karazhyra JSC. The company completed it in full on schedule.
Karazhyra JSC is developing Karazhyra field. Therefore, coal supplies go directly, without intermediaries. The quality of the mined coal is continuously monitored by the international inspection company SGS Kazakhstan LTD.
