Kyrgyzstan’s schools lack more than 900 teachers. The head of the School Education Policy and Book Publishing Department of the Ministry of Education, Samarkul Umralieva, told at a press conference.
According to her, by the beginning of the school year, there was a shortage of about 2,500 teachers in schools annually. The problem was tried to be solved by distributing young teachers who studied at the expense of the budget and by hiring part-time teachers.
«After the increase in salaries of teachers, the deficit was reduced almost three times. Schools lack 900 teachers this year,» Samarkul Umralieva added.
