Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev held a working meeting on reduction of prices for domestic flights. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
Bakyt Torobaev noted that the State Civil Aviation Agency and the Antimonopoly Regulation Service need to work together with airlines and other interested parties to prevent an increase in air ticket prices. In addition, the importance of improving the infrastructure of airports was noted.
The Antimonopoly Regulation Service was instructed to work with representatives of airlines, agents (representatives of air ticket offices) to prevent an increase in prices for air tickets above the established interest profit margin of airlines. In case of unreasonable increase in prices of air tickets, it was instructed to take measures in accordance with the law.
The relevant departments were also instructed to develop appropriate price stabilization mechanisms and prevent sharp price hikes for domestic and international flights.
The State Civil Aviation Agency should, together with airlines, consider the possibility of increasing the number of flights to Batken and Razzakov.
Manas International Airport OJSC was instructed to increase the staffing of the airport in Jalal-Abad to improve the quality of service provided.
