Thanks to my family for their support, thanks to the coaches and comrades. This victory would not have been possible without coaches. I wanted to show what the Kyrgyz school of wrestling is capable of, and I showed — I took revenge,» he said.
In the final, Akzhol Makhmudov competed with Zoltan Levai from Hungary. He won with a score 8-0. In the Greco-Roman style competitions, Akzhol Makhmudov previously defeated representatives of Brazil, Mexico, Turkey and Korea in the weight category up to 77 kilograms.
