Kyrgyz athlete Tynar Sharshenbekov won a silver medal in Greco-Roman wrestling at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Turkey.
He competed in the weight category up to 63 kilograms. The Kyrgyzstani started from the 1/4 stage, won two victories in a row and reached the final.
In the fight for gold, Tynar Sharshenbekov competed with a 34-year-old Iranian wrestler and lost, winning silver medal.
The Islamic Solidarity Games are held for the fifth time. In 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic, they were postponed to August 2022.
