The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan does not plan to introduce any COVID-19 lockdown in the fall. The Acting Minister of Health Zharkynbek Kasymbekov announced at a press conference.
«These are rumors that kindergartens will be closed or schools will switch to online education,» he said, answering a question from 24.kg news agency.
According to Zharkynbek Kasymbekov, there are no prerequisites for the introduction of lockdowns in the fall. «Perhaps, there will be a seasonal increase in acute respiratory infections. But we are ready for it,» he added.
At the same time, Zharkynbek Kasymbekov emphasized that the forecast does not give a 100 percent guarantee that the situation will not change. But so far there are no prerequisites for lockdowns.
