Parliamentary delegations of Kazakhstan, headed by the Chairman of the Mazhilis Yerlan Koshanov, and Azerbaijan — with the Chair of the National Assembly Sahiba Gafarova, arrived in Kyrgyzstan. They will take part in the 11th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TURKPA). Press service of the Parliament reported.
Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Ulan Primov met the guests at the Tamchi airport.
Earlier, the parliamentary delegations of Turkey, headed by the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly Mustafa Sentop, and Uzbekistan — with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva, arrived in the republic.
The city of Cholpon-Ata will host a meeting of the Council and a plenary meeting of the TURKPA, members of which are Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkey. There are a number of important issues on the agenda, including renaming of the organization.
Parliamentary delegations from Turkmenistan and Hungary also arrived in Kyrgyzstan, which have an observer status in the TURKPA.
Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will take part in the event as honored guests.
