The Chairman of the Board of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) told about the details of agreement with Airports of Regions JSC.
According to Artem Novikov, the document is intended to work out the possibility of financing the transport and logistics infrastructure and air terminal complexes in the regions of Kyrgyzstan. He did not name any specific timing for implementation or possible amounts of funding.
«This is an agreement of intent, which will be further worked out in detail by the Cabinet of Ministers with all participants in the process,» he said.
Kyrgyzstan plans to implement a public-private partnership project to modernize Manas International Airport. But it is related to only one airport — in Bishkek. The issue of development of regional airports remains open.
