«We need new technologies and production facilities,» Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, said at the opening of an international multi-sectoral business mission of Russian companies to Kyrgyzstan.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan has one of the most liberal tax and currency regimes. The republic shares borders with China, the trade turnover with which is quite large. But those vehicles that come with goods from China, go back to the PRC empty.
«Therefore, opening of joint ventures with Russia would allow us to trade with China and South Asia. We have open transport corridors, open transit through Turkmenistan. There is a further possibility of trade with the rest of the world. I don’t know about politics, but the economic center of the world is moving to the Pacific. Asian market opportunities are opening up for us. I hope that we will only help each other in this direction. We are ready to start activities together for the benefit of our people and profit of those companies that will work with us,» Akylbek Japarov said.
