The population and housing census will be carried out in Kyrgyzstan in electronic format for the first time. It was announced at the board meeting of the National Statistical Committee on Friday.
According to the press service of the government, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Arzybek Kozhoshev took part in it.
The head of the department, Baktybek Kudaibergenov, provided information on the results of activities in the past year and plans for 2022.
Arzybek Kozhoshev noted that the effective social and economic development of the country is associated with the need for timely receipt and analysis of official statistical information. «For the first time, the forthcoming population and housing census will be carried out in electronic format using a mobile application by census takers. This is a large-scale event of republican significance, which we must hold at the proper level,» he said.
The population and housing census will be carried out on the territory of the republic from March 25 to April 3. In remote areas of the Kyrgyz Republic, it will be carried out from April 23 to May 2.
