Adnan Qureshi, a Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in Kyrgyzstan, died suddenly at the age of 59. The organization informed 24.kg news agency.
According to its data, after assuming the post of the head of FAO office in July 2020, he became an irreplaceable part of the UN country team in Kyrgyzstan and through his many years of experience made an exceptional contribution to the sustainable development of agriculture and positively influenced the lives of many citizens of the country.
«His leadership skills, invaluable knowledge and experience, insight and humanity brought the UN country team to a new level. He will be remembered in Kyrgyzstan as a true development diplomat, a professional in his field and a kind, compassionate person who was always ready to lend a helping hand and support everyone,» the statement reads.
