Ex-prime minister of Kyrgyzstan Dzhoomart Otorbaev was found guilty under the article «Corruption» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Press service of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek reported.
The former head of the Cabinet of Ministers was sentenced to a fine of 300,000 soms.
Dzhoomart Otorbaev is a defendant in a criminal case on Kumtor. He was detained and placed in the remand prison of the State Committee for National Security in September 2021, and two months later he was released on his own recognizance not to leave the city. Dzhoomart Otorbaev entered into a plea bargain, so his case was investigated separately from other defendants.
