An illegal scheme for issuing a license for the extraction of minerals has been revealed, the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS) reports.
Information has been received regarding a number of companies operating in violation of the Kyrgyz Republic’s legislation in the field of subsoil use.
«It has been found out that a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zh.M., who works as a designer of sand and gravel mixture (SGM) quarries, entered into a criminal conspiracy with an inspector of the Land and Water Supervision Service of Chui-Bishkek regional department, Sh.A., and illegally sold a license for $250,000 to investors from the PRC. The said persons have been placed in the institution No. 21 of the State Penitentiary Service,» the statement says.
The SCNS is conducting additional investigative and operational measures aimed at detection of facts of illegal issuance of licenses for the development of mineral deposits, as well as officials involved in the above-mentioned facts.
