Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan develops Digital Health Profile

The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has developed a Digital Health Profile. Press center of the ministry reported.

The profile will combine information from various databases and healthcare information systems, in which basic information about human health will be available. The system was developed by the Center for e-Healthcare within the framework of Sanarip MED target model of digital healthcare development, the main principle of which is a human-centered service delivery model.

«This innovative solution will be a tool for implementation of the tasks of the healthcare system, aimed at increasing the availability and quality of medical services, as well as increasing the promptness of obtaining the necessary information by both a person and his or her attending medical doctor,» the ministry noted.

Director of the Center for e-Healthcare Bakyt Dzhangaziev noted that the Ministry of Health makes it a priority to monitor the health of each citizen, taking into account personal specifics. «For these purposes, the Digital Health Profile was launched in test mode, which is an essential step in building a national unified healthcare information system. In the future, it will allow to abandon paper carriers and very quickly, when interacting with other information systems, deliver information about health to citizens in their smartphones and to medical specialists in their offices,» he said.

It is planned to launch the product in stages in 2022.
