Kyrgyzstan will take over chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union in 2022. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov announced today at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
He assured that Kyrgyzstan will make every possible effort not only to implement the current agenda of the Union, but also to expand activities in new directions. The President is confident that it is important to devote next year to strengthening investment and cooperation, development of transport corridors, expansion of trade and economic ties with entry into new promising markets.
«It is necessary to pay special attention to the climate agenda, introduction of green technologies, the implementation of projects in the field of e-commerce, as well as to start working out joint high-tech projects that will become symbols of the EAEU,» Sadyr Japarov said.
In turn, the Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his speech that Kyrgyzstan can count on all possible assistance from Russia.
«Our Kyrgyz friends, who will preside over the Eurasian Union next year, face really serious and responsible tasks,» the Russian president stressed.
