Growth of food prices in the past 1.5 — 2 years is forcing the EAEU countries to take preventive measures. The Minister for Industry and Agroindustrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Artak Kamalyan, said at the 2nd Eurasian Congress.
According to him, at a meeting of the Supreme Economic Council at the end of 2020, it was proposed to create a single commodity distribution network of the EAEU. EEC research and meetings with representatives of logistics companies showed the relevance of the topic.
"Creation of a single network can lead to optimizing the overall logistics benefits. We have large significant agricultural resources in the Union and a high level of human resources. There are certain technologies, we have an excellent geographical location, which allows us to increase our agricultural potential,"Artak Kamalyan said.
