Election results: CEC of Kyrgyzstan completes manual vote counting

The manual counting of ballots has ended. The Chairwoman of the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan (CEC) Nurzhan Shaildabekova announced at a press conference.

She noted that the election results are summed up on the basis of manual counting. «But we have not yet entered the protocol data from all PECs into the server. Why it takes so long? In accordance with the new system, 23 protocols are received from each PEC. All data must be entered into the system, for example, the total number of voters and votes for each party,» the CEC head explained.

After the counting of votes is completed, the precinct electoral commissions will begin to consider statements. «If you have any complaints, write statement attaching photo or video materials and other data,» Nurzhan Shaildabekova said.

Parties that have not overcome the five percent threshold hold a rally near the CEC building. They demand to annul the voting results and hold re-election.

Elections of deputies of the seventh convocation of the Parliament have been held in Kyrgyzstan. According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, six parties get into the Parliament. Winners in single-seat constituencies were also announced. The votes are being counted manually.
