Military servicemen from Kyrgyzstan participate in exercises in Tajikistan
Special tactical exercises Cobalt-2021 were held at Fakhrobod military training ground in Tajikistan. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
The exercises involved units of special forces of the Interior Ministries and Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
Law enforcement officers and military servicemen from Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan worked on planning and conducting operations to eliminate illegal armed formations.
«Special exercises are very important for maintaining combat readiness and gaining practical experience of joint actions of the Collective Forces, which is especially important today, when transnational crime, extremism and drug-related crimes acquire international scale and threaten peace, security, tranquility. I am sure that the conducted exercises will make a significant contribution to the fight against crime and will serve to preserve stability and peace in our states,» he said.
Oktyabr Urmambetov said that the next tactical and special exercises Cobalt-2022 are planned to be held in Kyrgyzstan.
