The Judicial Council of the Kyrgyz Republic elected a chairman and his deputy at its regular meeting.
By unanimous decision, the judge of the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan Chinara Sadyrova became the head of the Judicial Council, and the judge of the Talas Administrative Court Temirbek Ibraimov was elected the Deputy Chairman.
Issues on amending the regulation on competitive selection of candidates for the position of a judge of the Kyrgyz Republic, on amending the issues of determining the professional and volitional qualities of candidates for the position of judge and the criteria for competitive selection have been considered at the meeting of the Judicial Council.
Earlier, by the decision of the Judicial Council dated October 16, the powers of the Chairman of the Judicial Council Nurlanbek Atanazarov were terminated, since he was expelled from the composition on the basis of the submitted application.
The newly elected Chairwoman of the Council, Chinara Sadyrova, has been the Deputy Chairwoman and Chairwoman of the Budget Commission.
