President of Kyrgyzstan lays flowers at monument to killed on April 7

The day before, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov paid tributes to the memory of those killed in the April 2010 People’s Revolution.

The head of state laid flowers at the monument to those killed in the April 2010 events at Ata-Beyit memorial complex. The ceremony began with a moment of silence. A memorial prayer was read then.

After visiting the memorial complex, Sooronbai Jeenbekov laid flowers at the monument to the memory of those killed for the freedom of the people during the Aksy events of 2002 and the April events of 2010 on the central square Ala-Too.

The president was overthrown in the republic for the second time on April 7, 2010. Kurmanbek Bakiyev fled with members of his family, the interim government took over the power. According to official data, 77 people were killed, 306 were injured.
