As a result of 2018, at least 229 populated areas in Kyrgyzstan have no route transport communication. The Ministry of Transport and Roads of the country presented such data.
There are 1,829 settlements in the country. Buses and minibuses do not serve 229 of them because of bad roads, lack of passenger traffic or unprofitable routes.
At the same time, 16 routes were reopened and 26 bus routes were restored in regions in 2018.
