President of Kyrgyzstan urged the heads of commercial banks to improve service in the regions. Sooronbai Jeenbekov said this today at a conference «Kyrgyzstan: National Dialogue on Regional Development.»
The head of state noted that residents of each district should have access to funds and credit institutions.
«We have to support small and medium businesses. This is a task of local authorities, too. Development of small and medium-sized businesses will open the way to larger businesses. Our commercial banks need to improve service in the regions. They work very poorly in many places,» Sooronbai Jeenbekov said.
The President also noted that many activities were carried out to support business, including a reduction of inspections of business entities; a moratorium on inspections of already operating small and medium-sized enterprises was introduced for two years; a moratorium for new business would be introduced for three years; changes in the tax system were made.
«In 2018, different institutions provided entrepreneurs with 25 billion soms in form of loans. We must increase this figure,» the president added.
