Business Ombudsman. What associations may get into Supervisory Board?

Criteria for business associations applying for membership in the Supervisory Board of the Institute of Business Ombudsman have been set in Kyrgyzstan. The Information Support Department of the Government’s Executive Office reported.

According to it, a government order on the delegation of the Deputy Minister of Economy as a government representative to the Supervisory Board was initiated. It was sent for approval to the ministries and departments. The composition of the bloc of international development partners is determined on the results of consultations conducted by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Exactly EBRD is the main international partner in creation of the Institute of Business Ombudsman.

As for the bloc representing the interests of the private sector in the Supervisory Board through business associations, five business associations are expected to participate in it on a permanent basis and two business associations — on a rotational basis.

Business associations that want to join the Supervisory Board on a permanent basis should have the largest coverage of business entities and the amount of tax deductions made by members of the business association in the country. In addition, such a business association must include at least 50 members, and it must work for at least five years.

Recall, exactly the Supervisory Board will elect a Business Ombudsman, his or her deputies and approve the rules and regulations.
