More than 425,000 people get state benefits in Kyrgyzstan. The Minister of Labor and Social Development Ulukbek Kochkorov told at a press conference.
According to him, there are low-income families with children under 16 years among the recipients of benefits. The amount of allowance for a child is 875 soms.
«In 2018, we have solved one of the problematic issues in setting the benefits. Since July, pensions have not been taken into account in the aggregate income when setting allowances to children from low-income families. Today, more than 152,000 children receive benefits,» the minister noted.
Ulukbek Kochkorov added that allowances to children with disabilities were increased to 4,000 soms in July 2018.
At least 6,524 billion soms were allocated from the republican budget for payment of state benefits.
