A two-year-old child died in an intensive care unit of the National Center of Maternity and Childhood Welfare. He was hospitalized on November 28 in a serious condition with multiple traces of beatings on his body.
According to the police department of Chui region, the boy was first taken to the hospital in Panfilovsky district. The police received a call from the doctors. According to physicians, the 2-year-old boy was hospitalized with bodily injuries.
Police officers questioned a 32-year-old woman who brought the boy to the hospital. According to her, the boy was left to her by a friend who had left for Russia to work.
The woman said that on November 26, the child allegedly fell out of bed, but nothing happened, and on November 28, the boy lost consciousness, and she decided to bring him to the hospital.
The child was taken to the Third Children’s Hospital of Bishkek, and then was transferred to the intensive care unit of the National Center of Maternal and Childhood Welfare. However, the doctors could not save life of the baby, he died.
A criminal case has been initiated, an investigation has begun. According to investigators, the boy was beaten.
This is not the first case of child abuse. In January 2015, a two-year-old Ibragim was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Third Children’s Hospital in Bishkek. He was unconscious. The boy’s parents divorced, he was left with relatives. After another beating by his uncle, Ibragim fell into a coma. The child spent several months in the hospital. He still has not fully recovered and remained disabled. His stepmother takes care of him.
