New Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan took under personal control the investigation into the alleged violations in the ministry. Chingiz Aidarbekov said this at a meeting with the President Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
According to the press service of the head of state, the president and the head of the Foreign Affairs Ministry discussed the priority directions of foreign policy of Kyrgyzstan. In addition, they exchanged views on the implementation of key areas of foreign policy of Kyrgyzstan, complex foreign policy issues on the agenda.
The head of state set the task to implement the previously reached agreements during his official and state visits to the countries of near and far abroad, to develop and strengthen good-neighborly relations with partner countries.
«The country’s foreign policy should be consistent, deeply thought out and balanced, with a priority consideration of the interests of the Kyrgyz Republic,» said Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs should also strengthen efforts to attract investments, develop the country’s tourism potential, protect the rights and interests of the Kyrgyz citizens abroad.
Touching on high-profile issues and critics that have recently been voiced in the media regarding the activities of the ministry, Chingiz Aidarbekov informed that law enforcement agencies were conducting relevant work on the instructions of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«Based on the results of the check, they will conduct a thorough analysis and appropriate decisions will be made. The society and the leadership of the country will be informed about the results, the issue is under my personal control,» the minister summed up.
