Minors can visit religious organizations, participate in rituals together with their parents. Such a change is made to the Law on Freedom of Religion and Religious Organizations in the Kyrgyz Republic. Zakir Chotaev, Deputy Director of the State Commission for Religious Affairs, told journalists.
Article 4 of the current law categorically prohibits the involvement of children in religious activities. This norm is retained with an annex.
«It is proposed to hold leaders of religious organizations accountable in case of involving children in their activities. The document says that parents have the right to ensure the religious and moral education of their children in accordance with their beliefs,» explained Zakir Chotaev.
