A large chessboard appeared near the building of the Republican Library for Children and Youth named after K. Bayalinov in Bishkek. The press service of the Bishkek City Council reported.
According to it, 4 × 4 meters board logically completes the complex, consisting of an outdoor fitness equipment and a children’s playground with elements of the summer reading room next to it.
«Creative and thinking people are valued today. One must learn how to play chess in order to develop mental abilities, especially in the young people and children. This is a magnificent ancient game and work for the mind,» said the Speaker of the Bishkek City Council Almaz Kenenbaev.
It is noted that the installation of the board is timed to the International Chess Day.
