The 1st Anatoly Karpov Chess Cup finished in Issyk-Kul region. The organizing committee of the competitions reported.
More than 80 athletes from Belarus, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan and the regions of Kyrgyzstan participated in it. The age of participants — 6-12 years. The world chess champion Anatoly Karpov attended the closing ceremony.
Dastan Ibraimov became the champion among the boys under 6, Sultai Chyngyz — up to 8, Vladimir Kononenko — up to 10 years, and Mikhei Naumenko — to 12. Ayzhan Sabyrbekova was the first among the girls under 6 years old, Aizhan Syezdbekova —up to 8, Ramina Abdurakhmanova — to 10 and Aisha Alen — up to 12.
The tournament is planned to be held annually.
