The criminal case against deputy of Parliament Kanatbek Isaev, accused of attempt to seize power, was brought to court. The registry of Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek informed 24.kg news agency.
The hearing will be closed. However, the date of its beginning has not been appointed yet. Ramis Zhunusaliev, an employee of the Tax Service for Pervomaisky district of Bishkek; the former head of Gavrilovka rural administration of Sokuluk district, Chui region, Deniz Raimkulov, as well as Mayrambek Matkulov and civil activist Melis Aspekov are also in the dock together with the deputy. All of them stated at the investigation stage that they did not admit their guilt.
Kanatbek Isaev was detained on September 30, 2017. He is charged with attempt to forcibly seize power. Other 5 people are mentioned in the case. The State Committee for National Security has conducted the investigation.
This is the second criminal case against the deputy of the Parliament. The Pervomaisky District Court sentenced Kanatbek Isaev to 12 years of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a penal colony with strengthened security regime within the first criminal case. He was found guilty of illegal transfer of land from municipal to private ownership when he was a mayor of Tokmak town. The lawyers of the defendants appeal this verdict in the second instance court.
