The Kyrgyz railways modernize and update the track facilities machinery. It was put into operation today.
As Kyrgyz Temir Zholu noted, in 2017, 15 units of machinery were bought: tractors, loaders and excavators.
«The machinery was purchased at own expense. Renewal of the fleet is a significant step in solving the issue of modernization and renovation of the track infrastructure. At the moment, this is a priority for the development of the enterprise,» Kyrgyz Temir Zholu noted.
According to representatives of the state enterprise, six main diesel locomotives and 150 open-top wagons for the southern branch of the enterprise have already been purchased. The next step in the modernization will be the purchase of freight cars at the expense of a loan from the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
