The Ministry of Transport and Roads of Kyrgyzstan intends to certificate all roads in Kyrgyzstan. The head of the ministry Zhamshitbek Kalilov said this today at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Transport, Communications, Architecture and Construction.
According to him, there is no certification of roads — it is being developed since 1996.
«We have finished Osh — Bishkek road, but it has not been put into operation so far, Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart highway has not been commissioned, Osh-Sary-Tash-Irkeshtam has not been commissioned either,» the official reminded.
According to the minister, the Russian company «Spetsdortekhnika» has already sent laser equipment to Kyrgyzstan.
Zhamshitbek Kalilov promises that all Kyrgyz roads will be certified in 3 years.
Deputies are considering in the second reading the bill on Amending the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Roads. Dastan Bekeshev (SDPK), taking into account the opinion of the Ministry of Transport and Roads, proposes to reduce the initiated increase in the warranty period for new roads from 5 to 4 years, for repaired roads — from 3 to 2 years.
