President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev addressed the citizens of the country before the elections. The text of the appeal was spread today by the press service of the head of state.
Almazbek Atambayev noted that his duty as incumbent head of state is to ensure the conditions for free expression of the will of citizens and to protect them from any pressure from outside. Voters should also be shielded from attempts to impose false information on them.
Taking into account the importance of presidential elections and the degree of their impact on the fate of the country, manipulation of public opinion can significantly impair the stability of the social, political situation and the interests of Kyrgyzstan’s national security.
