Kyrgyz athletes promised allowances of more than $ 1,000

The State Agency for Youth Policy, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic intends to increase the size of the scholarship allowances for athletes. It can make up over $ 1000, the head of the agency Kanat Amankulov said today at the session of the Parliament.

The State Agency submitted amendments to the law on physical culture and sports. The project determines the procedure for the payment of scholarships, including their increase for their best athletes from 45,000 to 75,000 soms. In addition, it is planned that the scholarship allowances will be received also by the athletes in non-Olympic sports.

The deputies asked Kanat Amankulov how assistance with the acquisition of sports equipment in schools and public sports organizations is rendered. He replied that the department had reviewed the expenses and found reserves.
