Kyrgyz servicemen to be taught English

On September 20, the American University of Central Asia will open English language courses for servicemen who retired or plan to resign from the Armed Forces. This was reported in AUCA.

It is noted that the main goal of this program is the retraining of servicemen for employment and professional activities in the civil sphere.

According to the AUCA, since 2011, more than 1,000 servicemen who retired on seniority have been trained in English language, entrepreneurship, tourism management, accounting and finance, and information technology. About 80 percent of the graduates of the program successfully found job in «civilian life».

In the fall, the program opens English language courses in Bishkek and Osh, information technologies courses- in Bishkek, Talas and Tokmak.

Training is conducted within the framework of the NATO cooperation program and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan on the social adaptation of servicemen.
