Native of Kyrgyzstan becomes champion of Europe in fencing

The native of Kyrgyzstan Andrey Khrebtov became the champion of Europe among veterans in fencing. He himself informed 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the competitions were held in the city of Chiavari (Italy). 178 athletes from different countries participated in it. Khrebtov played for the Russian national team in 40–49 age group. On the way to the final, he gained five victories in a row: he defeated representatives of Russia, Hungary, Lithuania, Germany and Austria. In the decisive battle, Khrebtov defeated the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games 2000 Gabriele Magni (Italy) — 10: 8.
Until 2010, Andrey Khrebtov represented Kyrgyzstan. He was a member of the Kyrgyz fencing and modern pentathlon teams.
