CSTO - defence umbrella of Eurasian Economic Union

Adviser to the Office of Information Programs of CSTO Secretariat Igor Panarin today during forum «25^th anniversary of Collective Security Treaty: Achievements and Prospects» compared the organization with the defence umbrella of EEU.

According to him, the organization has great prospects for growth and development.

«The importance of CSTO and security issues have a solid foundation on the Kyrgyz land. We will overcome emerging threats together," Igor Panarin said.

The head of the department of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic, Yuriy Denisov, added that a large-scale work was carried out by joint efforts over the 25-year period. Military-political situation, terrorism, drug trafficking are gaining scope. The CSTO helped Kyrgyzstan to improve military security, develop the Armed Forces and equip them.
