The Prosecutor General’s Office took the case of ex-deputy Sadyr Japarov to court. His lawyer Sharabidin Toktosunov told 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the investigation is completed. A hearing date will be set within a week. The trial of Japarov’s supporters, who held a rally in front of the GKNB building on March 25, when the former people’s deputy was detained, began on May 19.
Criminal cases on hooliganism, property damage, and violence against a government representative were initiated against 12 participants of a rally in support of Sadyr Zhaparov, held earlier in Bishkek near the GKNB building.
On March 25, Japarov was detained and taken to the State National Security Committee within the framework of a criminal case instituted on the basis of the crimes, stipulated in Articles 227, 341, 113 and 234 (threat of murder, hostage-taking, hooliganism, use of violence against a representative of the authorities) of the Criminal Code.
The next day he was taken into custody until the end of the investigation with the detention in Bishkek pretrial detention center 1.
