Kyrgyzstan not fully implements ICAO recommendations

Kyrgyzstan has not yet fully implemented recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The President of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu announced at a meeting with the Speaker of Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Chynybay Tursunbekov.
According to the press service of the Parliament, the parties discussed measures aimed at withdrawal of Kyrgyz airlines from the ICAO blacklist.
«To withdraw Kyrgyzstan from this list, all legal acts have been brought into line with international requirements. The Parliament considers and adopts without delay all the necessary international documents and domestic regulatory legal acts in the field of civil aviation," the Speaker said.
Strengthening of the material and technical base and the involvement of professional highly paid specialists in domestic civil aviation are also among the recommendations of ICAO.

According to Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads of Kyrgyzstan Gulmira Abdralieva, at present the government is working to raise the salaries of civil aviation specialists.
Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu stated the readiness to work actively to withdraw Kyrgyzstan from the black list and stressed the importance of implementation of a number of ICAO recommendations by the Kyrgyz side, the report said.
