The President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev advocates for increasing the retention period for declarations of the state and municipal top managers. The head of the Information Policy Department of the President Almaz Usenov informed 24.kg news agency.
According to him, under the existing norms, declarations of state and municipal employees are kept only for six years, after which they are subject to destruction.
«Taking into account that the society today fairly demands from officials not only openness in work, but also disclosure of sources of their incomes, Almazbek Atambayev stands for increasing the terms of keeping the declarations," Almaz Usenov said.
The President of the country believes that it is necessary to achieve effective functioning of the system of openness and transparency of incomes of senior officials, and their accountability to the society.The head of state supports people who are reasonably interested in how, sometimes in a very short time, individual politicians enriched, not hiding their multimillion-dollar property.
