Parliament proposes to hold presidential elections on October 15

The deputy of the parliament Isa Omurkulov suggested holding the presidential elections on October 15. The member of the SDPK faction, Dastan Bekeshev, said this today at the parliamentary hearings on amendments to the law on the election of deputies to the Parliament and the President of Kyrgyzstan.

«According to the current law, elections should be held on November 19. But if we assume that there will be a second round, then it falls out for a new year. There is a proposal of deputy Isa Omurkulov to move the presidential elections to October 15,» Dastan Bekeshev said.

Earlier it was reported that presidential elections will be held on November 19.
