Number of cases on economic crimes in 2016 increased

In 2016, 20.1 percent more cases on economic crimes and 19.1 percent - on administrative cases were sent to the court, the Chairman of the Supreme Court Ainash Tokbaeva reported.

Annual information on the activities of the judicial system of Kyrgyzstan is heard at the meeting of the parliament committee.

According to Ainash Tokbaeva, there is also a decrease in the number of criminal cases by 28.5 percent, civil cases - by 11.8 percent,  cases on administrative violations -by 22.9 percent.

She added that during this period there were 4,885 court cases:

— criminal — 1218,

— civil — 2026,

— economic — 483,

— administrative — 1064.

— on administrative violations — 94.

«In total, the judicial panels of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2016 considered 4,914 cases and court materials," Aynash Tokbaeva said.
