Kyrgyzstan facilitates obtaining of investor visa

Procedure for obtaining an investor visa was facilitated in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced today at a press conference in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to its participants, previously one had to invest at least 35 million soms into the economy of the country to obtain an investor visa. About 10 million soms are required now.

As the head of the department of the consular service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Erkin Asangulov told, a new instruction for drawing up and issuing permits for entry into the country will start operating on April 5. It is designed to streamline the stay of foreigners in the Kyrgyz Republic, to regulate migration policy and prevent a terrorist threat.

Foreign Ministry officials added that according to the new instruction, a single visa sticker will operate from now on. Earlier it was issued by the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the State Registration Service.

As noted, the average cost of a visa is $ 50. It is planned to completely exempt the ethnic Kyrgyz living abroad of consular fees in future.
